Oliver is postdoctoral research fellow at the Bartlett School of Planning. He holds a PhD in Planning Studies in which his research focused on the impacts of the British legal system on 20th century planning practice. Prior to his PhD studies Oliver qualified as a barrister specializing in planning law, as well as practiced as a planner in London. Oliver holds an MA(Hons) in philosophy from the University of St. Andrews, a Graduate Diploma in Law, and an MSc in spatial planning from UCL. He was called to the Bar of England & Wales by Gray’s Inn.
